Dealers Den

The Dealers' Den is now sold out of tables, however you can still register to be put on the waiting list by following the link under the heading 'How do I get a place?'.

Working in the Dealers' Den

As the Dealers' Den is bigger this year, it will need more staff. If you would like to help out in the Dealers' Den, or any other part of the convention, please fill out the ConFuzzled Helpers Form-

Please note that we can not guarantee which department you'll be put in.

What is the Dealers' Den?

In the ConFuzzled Dealers’ Den, we offer you the chance to buy some fantastic items and commission some of the best furry artists from the UK and overseas.

There is also a ConFuzzled table where you can buy gifts, souvenirs and memorabilia from the convention as well as a selection of items from past years - for those who may not have been able to get them at the time. The table sells everything from badges and mugs to T-shirts and plushies.

We also sell items on behalf of the convention's chosen charity and all money made from these sales is sent directly to the charity.

How big is the Dealers' Den?

As with previous years, the Dealers’ Den will be sharing a room with the art show.

This year, the Dealers' Den room is 234.72m² (770sq. ft.). This gives us enough room for 24 tables, each of which is 1.84x0.77m, and a potential to house 48 dealers

What's new this year

  • This year each dealer will be able to nominate one assistant. This assistant will be given a sticker to put on their badge, as will dealers, and only people with those stickers will be allowed behind the tables;

  • The Dealers' Den will not be closing for meals, due to the convention not having set meal times. For this reason, we strongly recomend you have an assistant;

  • This year the Dealers' Den will have a dedicated bar which will be open at the same time as the Dealers' Den. To prevent it becoming some sort of 'overflow' from the main bar, it will only sell soft drinks and light snacks. Alcohol will be unavailable from this bar;

  • The hotel will be providing free Tea, Coffee, Water and biscuits for dealers and their assistants;

  • Food and drink will not be allowed in the dealers/art show area, with the exception being if it belongs to dealers or their assistants;

  • The door into the room will be split into an entrance and exit by a 'Tensa' barrier so that people entering aren't bumping into people leaving;

  • The door will be manned at all times by a member of the security department. This is to ensure that non-attendees don't wander in. There will also be a security desk where all cameras and possibly camera-phones will have to be left and collected on leaving the room;

  • This year the room will have a dedicated A/C unit or Dehumidifier to make sure it's kept at a comfortable temperature. The room also has a built in Heat-exchange which will also be in operation;

  • We aim to be able to provide card payments at the convention/charity table this year;

  • There will be a layout plan of the room near the entrance to make it easier for people to see where each dealer is.

How many days does the Dealers' Den run?

The Dealers' Den will be open on both the Saturday and the Sunday of the convention weekend. We would like to remind everyone that the room is open to Dealers and Exhibitors only on the Friday to allow them to set up in peace.

How do I get a place?

The Dealers' Den at CF 2010 is now sold out of tables, however, a waiting list is now in place so if you still want to be in with a chance of getting a table, please fill out this form-.

Alternatively, if you know a dealer who has space on their table and who's willing to share with you, please get them to send me an email with your contact details in it and I will send you the main registration form.

Anyone wishing to register a table must have already registered and fully paid for the convention itself.

What time will the Dealers’ Den be open?

As soon as the scheduling for 2010 is finalised, we will post the final opening times on this page.

Provisional opening times are:

Friday: Dealer setup and Art Show/Auction submissions only

Saturday & Sunday: 10am - 6pm

Monday: Auction collections only

These are provisional opening times and are likely to vary slightly by the time of the convention

Is there a registration deadline?

Yes, registration for the Dealers’ Den will close at 21:00GMT on Sunday March 14th 2010. However, registration is subject to availability and tables are allocated on a first come, first served basis.

If the Dealers’ Den fills up before this date, we will set up a waiting list in case someone drops out.

Although not mandatory, we suggest that all dealers have someone available to cover their tables in case they need to leave for any reason. This will allow them to see more of the convention than just the one room. All dealers will need to let us know who will be helping them, as they will need a 'Dealer' sticker to go behind the dealer tables. There will be a limit of one helper per dealer, to prevent tables getting overcrowded.

If you register and need to drop out for any reason, you must let us know at least one week before the con so that we may pass the table on to someone else. You cannot just pass the table on to someone else yourself.

If you drop out without letting us know in advance or otherwise inconvenience the Dealers' Den staff, we may consider you a risk and block you from registering for a future table at our discretion.

Pricing

All dealers agree to pay for their table once they arrive. There is a single fee of £15 per table for the whole weekend - this money will then be donated to the convention charity. Dealers will only be allowed to set up their table once their payment has been made.

Rules & Hints

We would prefer that only furry merchandise be sold in the Dealers’ Den, though generally related items like Anime is fine.

No items may be sold which depict the ConFuzzled logo or other company trademarks (including CF produced representations of Brok)

The Dealers’ Den, as with the rest of the convention, is for over 18s only, so adult oriented materials may be sold. However, we would ask that such items be kept out of sight or in clearly marked folders, unless they are being looked at, due to the fact that the convention will be sharing the hotel with non-furry guests.

Furthermore, the categories listed here are totally off-limits

We also do not permit the sale of sex toys and fetish items or anything else that the Dealers’ Den staff deem to be inappropriate for the setting.

And finally, we cannot allow the sale of food or beverages by dealers in the Dealers’ Den.
