As the Dealers’ Den has grown bigger and bigger, some artists have expressed they would like to sell only commissions and art prints at the convention. Therefore for 2022, we have designated a section of the Den as an Artist Alley.
Visiting the Artist Alley
The Artist Alley is located within the Dealers’ Den and will be open to attendees from 11:00 to 13:30, and 14:00 to 16:30 Saturday and Sunday. On Monday, there will only be two shorter sessions from 10:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 15:00.
Selling in the Artist Alley
Who is the Artist Alley for?
The Artist Alley is for artists and photographers, from aspiring to experienced, to offer only commissions, time-slots and prints at the con.
You can test the waters of selling your art without having to commit to a full con’s worth of dealing, or if you’re a veteran who is only attending for a day or two, you can still have the opportunity to sell at ConFuzzled.
What can I expect?
As there is only limited space, a draw will take place to allocate time slots each day.
Draw winners will be allocated a 4ft by 2ft table space for one 2.5/ 2 -hour time slot with some setup time before, and teardown time after. (The 4ft by 2ft tables are for 2022 only)
There will be two Artist Alley sessions per day.
A slot costs £15 and is paid on the day when you sign in at the ConFuzzled table in the Dealers’ Den.
WiFi is provided and electricity will be available. However, any electronic devices you plan to use in the Artist Alley will need to be PAT tested in advance by Con Ops.
How to get a place in the Artist Alley
You can register your interest in the Artist Alley in two ways:
- Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org containing your name, badge number, email and telegram OR Twitter. (The application deadline for email applications is the night of Thursday the 21st of May at 11PM GMT.)
- If you weren’t able to sign up in advance, but would still like to apply for a place in the Artist Alley during the con, you can visit us at the ConFuzzled Dealers’ Den table during Den opening hours on the day before you wish to have a slot.
Each day at 8AM, we’ll draw names from everyone who entered to be in the Alley for that day’s time slots.
If your name is drawn, we’ll contact you to let you know you have a place in the Alley. Please make sure you check your preferred method of contact (email and/or Telegram).
Turn up 30 minutes before your time slot for us to handle payment and sign in, and voila!
We do expect you to attend when drawn, but if you are unable to, please inform us ASAP so we can give the slot to someone else.
Please know that to be considered for a place in the Artist Alley you must be a fully paid attendee of ConFuzzled.
The advance registration deadline will be on Thursday the 21st of May at 11pm GMT. Alternatively, as mentioned above, you can come to us the day before and say you want a slot!
