Venue Policy

This year ConFuzzled, in partnership with our venue, are making a small, but important policy change for admission to the premises.

For 2025, only registered attendees may be ‘on site’ at the venue during the convention.

This means you MUST be a registered attendee, with a 2025 con-badge to be on the premises anywhere at the Hilton, not just to enter the convention spaces.

Any registration type will do: residential, non-residential, day ticket (for the days you’ve purchased) etc.

This will be enforced through a variety of approaches undertaken by our staff and stewards as well as Hilton Security. If you are not wearing a conbadge, and are unable to produce one when challenged, you will be asked to leave the premises. You may risk a ban from future conventions.

We’re making these changes for a variety of reasons, some of these include;

  • Capacity – with the convention reaching the safe capacity of the venue, it’s right and fair that the convention space be for registered attendees
  • We can only enforce our policies and code of conduct with registered attendees
  • For safeguarding, it’s important to be able to enforce bans and exclusions
  • Maintaining the available resources of Operations and Medical teams
  • Reducing the impact on available venue resources, including car parking spaces, hotel facilities including bar & restaurant, as well as hotel convenience services

However, we do want to make sure that as many of you as possible have a legitimate route to attend ConFuzzled! For 2025, we’re increasing the number of available non-residential and day tickets.

As always, registration for ConFuzzled is subject to availability – book early to avoid disappointment!

Here are a few answers to questions we anticipate you may have:

“I came in without a badge last year”

This represents a change to previous years. As per the above outline, you will no longer be permitted to be on-premises if you are not a registered attendee.

This is the new position from both ConFuzzled, and the Hilton. This is also in line with other events in the UK. This new policy replaces any approach taken in previous years.

“Isn’t the Hilton public property?”

No, the Hilton is private property – as such we are guests of the venue. The Hilton can -at their discretion- make a determination at any time as to who can, and cannot be on the property.

The agreement for ConFuzzled 2025 is that -during the convention days- only registered attendees can be on the premises.
