The amazing Lauren (hair stylist) and Pixie (make-up artist) will be available to help you look and feel your absolute best. And what’s more, slots are absolutely free! Whether you want to try something new, be more you, or just want to express yourself in a safe and supportive space, they’ve got you covered. No booking needed, just walk in. Slots are first-come, first-served and may go fast, so swing by early to take advantage of this excellent opportunity.

NOTE: Available slots will be around 30-40 minutes. The available time will thus limit the complexity of the work possible.

Pixie (Make-Up artist)

Hi, I’m Pixie Lawrie —I’m an international body painter, makeup artist, and colour-loving creature creator!

Based in London but always with a suitcase ready, I’ve taken my brushes across Europe and beyond, painting everything from high-end sophisticated bodypaint looks, to curious fantastic critters.

My work blends painting with storytelling, transforming humans into a living, breathing, walking, talking canvas — whether it’s for film, theatre, immersive events, or high-impact PR campaigns.

I am largely self-taught, with a few short courses in special effects makeup and airbrush painting; I thrive on the weird, and wonderfully theatrical. I have a particular penchant for creature effects, optical illusion work and neon colours.

My work has been featured on screen (Bridgerton, ITV, Sidemen, Men in Black) and in print (front cover of the Times, Dupe Magazine, Femme Rebelle Magazine).

Highlights of my paint-splashed journey include travelling with circus troupes, entertainment agencies, and bodypaint competitions around the globe — from Greece to Thailand.

Lauren – Hair Stylist

Hi, I’m Lauren Thwaites, AKA the Wizard of Hair. I’ve been working in London as a hairdresser for over 20 years.

As a queer identifying woman, my approach to hairdressing is inherently inclusive and gender neutral, meaning my services are priced solely depending on the style and length of the cut.

I can cut and style hair of all types and textures (including afro hair), into hairstyles that grow out perfectly and are easy to maintain, meaning my customers always walk away with a haircut that will last.

Specialising in styles that create bold shapes, I consistently ensure that each individual’s cut enhances and compliments their face shape and features, and that no two hairstyles are ever the same.

I am also a qualified L’Oreal colour expert, and extremely confident with radical colour changes, while knowing the best colour products for each client’s hair.

Incorporating freehand colour techniques and concocting my own tones, every colour service is completely bespoke and unique, ranging from the soft and natural to the bold and vibrant.

I am based in the Walthamstow and Blackhorse Road area of East London (E17), where I have a home salon.

I am available as a hair stylist for fashion editorial projects, events and pop-ups.
