Charity
Over the years ConFuzzled has raised over £250,000 for charitable causes, and we are delighted to announce we will be supporting the Tiny Paws MCR at ConFuzzled 2026!
Tiny Paws MCR
Since 2019, Tiny Paws MCR has been helping overlooked animals—rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, rats, gerbils, degus, and chinchillas—find second chances. We rescue, rehabilitate and rehome abandoned and unwanted rodents and rabbits in the Manchester area and beyond.
Despite their small size, rodents and rabbits have specialist care needs and are a much bigger commitment than many people realise, resulting in a huge demand for our assistance, with requests to take in around 400 animals per year. Unfortunately, often due to incorrect care, many animals arrive with health issues, or have not had basic veterinary care such as neutering and vaccinations. We work with experienced exotic vets, who specialise in small animals, to nurse unwell animals back to health and help them thrive. This is the most costly aspect of our rescue work, with around 80% of outgoings spent on veterinary care.
We are passionate about providing these little beings with the best of care, allowing them opportunities to carry out natural behaviours and to experience diets as close to what they would consume in their wild habitats, both whilst in our care and in their adoptive forever homes. Many small animal species live in social groups naturally, so for these animals we always ensure they are adopted to live with suitable companions, assisting with introductions and bonding where needed – we love to see social animals blossom with friends!
Our hope is that through our rescue work, as well as changing the lives of the animals who come through our doors, we can promote a better awareness of the needs of rodents and rabbits so that they are no longer seen as cheap and easy “pets”, but individuals who deserve respect, understanding and compassion.
